Crowns, Inlays, and Onlays

If a cavity has grown too large for a traditional filling, a crown, inlay, or onlay may be the best solution. A crown covers the entire tooth surface that extends above the gum line. An inlay fills a hole in the chewing surface of the tooth between the cusps, while an onlay fills a hole in the chewing surface and covers a portion of the outside part of the tooth. Riverwood Dental Centre offers ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, and gold crowns, inlays, and onlays.

Typically, we can complete your crown, inlay, or onlay procedure in two short appointments. Your first appointment will involve preparing your tooth, making an impression, gathering information for our dental laboratory, and placing a temporary. After your restoration is fabricated, you'll visit us for a placement appointment. Your crown, inlay, or onlay will restore shape and function, as well as beauty and comfort.

Call Riverwood Dental Centre in Whitby to set up an appointment with Dr. Jodie Erick or Dr. Craig Bellamy. We have helped patients from Whitby, Oshawa, Ajax, Brooklin, and Pickering fall in love with their smile, and we want to help you, too.
